Missing Lines, Banding or Poor Print Quality
Use nozzle checks and normal maintenance first; avoid repeated aggressive cleaning when the problem may be ink supply, air, alignment, or hardware related.
Common symptoms
Text or photos contain missing lines or horizontal banding.
One or more colours are weak or absent.
Output looks misaligned even though the file is correct.
What to do
- 1
Print a nozzle-check pattern using the normal printer maintenance menu.
- 2
Confirm ink levels/supply and check for obvious air, cartridge, tank, or maintenance warnings.
- 3
Run a normal head-cleaning cycle only when the nozzle check indicates a blockage, then recheck the pattern.
- 4
Use printhead alignment if the pattern indicates alignment rather than missing nozzles.
- 5
If repeated normal cleaning does not improve the pattern, stop repeating cycles and investigate the model-specific ink system or hardware condition.

Open the model library before downloading or running service software. Compatibility can differ between nearby model numbers and regional variants.
