Disclaimer
Important OSFILE disclaimer covering manufacturer affiliation, printer service software, compatibility, physical maintenance, downloads and technical guidance.

Independent technical resource
OSFILE is an independent printer tools and troubleshooting library. Unless a page explicitly states otherwise, OSFILE is not Epson, Canon, Brother or another printer manufacturer, and it is not presented as an official manufacturer support site. Product names and trademarks are used only to identify printers, models and compatibility context.
No guarantee of universal compatibility
Printer service software is model-specific. Regional variants, firmware, program builds, Windows versions, connection methods and service functions can differ. OSFILE aims to present careful model information, but you must verify the exact printer and required function before running a utility.
Software is not physical repair
Resetting or changing a stored maintenance counter does not remove waste ink, replace a maintenance box, clean an absorber, repair a printhead, fix a sensor or correct mechanical damage. Physical service can still be required before or after a software operation.
Use at your own risk
Technical guides and files are provided for informational and service-reference purposes. Back up important data where relevant, use stable power and connections, scan downloads, and stop if a utility identifies the wrong model or returns inconsistent service values. OSFILE cannot guarantee that a particular procedure is suitable for every printer condition.
Third-party software
Some downloadable utilities may be third-party or legacy software. Any licence terms, ownership, restrictions or warranties supplied with that software remain applicable. OSFILE may remove or disable a file if a rights holder, security review or accuracy check gives a valid reason to do so.
Professional service
If a printer has leakage, electrical damage, persistent hardware codes, mechanical obstruction, abnormal noise or a condition you are not qualified to repair, use an appropriate repair professional or manufacturer-authorised service route.
